Q:
Mbox loses communication with the Mac. The USB light is not on.
 
A:
The problem is the driver load process aborts or doesn't get started.
There are three potential workarounds:
1) Put the Mac to sleep and wake it up.
2a) Current fix is to unplug the Mbox USB cable and plug it back in.
2b) Or swap USB ports if available.
3) Reboot the system.

Digidesign is working on a solution to this issue.
