Why didn't Pro Tools LE 5.2 for Mbox require a serial number when first launching after installation.
A:
If you had Pro Tools LE v. 5.1 or 5.1.1 previously installed on this machine, you will not be prompted to enter a serial number for authorization.
The same is NOT true if you had Pro Tools FREE, Pro Tools LE 5.01, 5.0 or any TDM version of Pro Tools previously installed. If you had any of these versions of Pro Tools previously installed you will be prompted for a serial number upon initial launch of Pro Tools LE 5.2
