Q:
Why do I keep getting a SCSI Read Error when trying to load from my external drive?
A:
A: If you connect or disconnect a SCSI device from the MPC2000 while the power is on, it may cause a fuse on the SCSI board to blow. This will cause the MPC2000 to have limited SCSI operation, (some material will be able to load and save, some will not). When trying to load information you will get "SCSI Read Error", when trying to save information, you will get "SCSI Write Error". If this is the problem you are experiencing, you will need to have an authorized Akai Professional service technician correct the problem. .
