Pro Audio Support

Q:
What is MME on Windows?

A:
MME stands for MultiMedia Extensions. Basically, it is a set of instructions and methods of manipulating audio within Windows. This is probably the easier method to work with sound, and that is why it is so popular. The drawback of MME is that Windows needs to process the audio data, and typically adds a decent amount of latency to the signal which for Windows Media Player is no big deal, but for recording applications can become a problem.
