Pro Audio Support

Q:
How to assign midi tracks to the SampleTank modules

A:
Once SampleTank is loaded into the first insert slot of the audio track it is
ready to work
We need, now, to setup the midi track that will host the sequence played by
the ST channel.

The first step is to load one instrument in one channel (not necessarily
starting with the first), because the Pro Tools midi targets are dynamically
updated with the names of the sounds loaded in SampleTank.
Midi Track:Create a new Midi Track in the session.
Now, going to the output selection of this midi track you see a new target,
named as the instrument loaded in the SampleTank channel
In this case the midi output of the midi track is “ST Acoustic Piano 1 ”.
If you enable this MIDI track for Recording and play the keyboard, the midi
data are received by SampleTank, Channel 1, patch Acoustic Piano 1.
The name of the midi target in the midi track is automatically updated so it
will change in accord with the name of the SampleTank instrument loaded
in that channel. This will help in identifying the correct track in the arrange
window --just look at it ’s output name.
