Can you load Akai sample with another device than CD?
A:
You can load the programs from an AKAI cdrom and then save them in native Motif format to a Zip drive as an All Voice or in an All file. They will then load significantly quicker for two reasons- one, the program parameters are not being converted and two, the Zip drive is faster than the CDROM. So you can accomplish your goal, but you have to load once in to Motif to get the compatibility and parameter conversion done.
The AKAI format is specifically designed not to be accessible from other media and we of course have little control over that format.
