Soundstream's audio output goes off the Windows default settings in the Sounds & Multimedia control panel in Windows control panel. Also, there are two methods of playback from within Soundstream. Go to Properties - Playback Method, and choose either waveOut or DirectSound - whichever works best. DirectSound is a little more likely to share the soundcard with another application if this is the error you are getting.
