Q:
How can I get my Windows XP to be more stable? How do I download Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1)?
A:
Microsoft has now released Windows XP service pack 1, which is a huge compilation of all current bug fixes wrapped into one download. You can obtain this update here: www.microsoft.com . The version you will want is the 32-bit version, not the 64-bit. Choose Express Installation to download a small program which will auto-download only the components which need updating. This can save download time, but you cannot save this update on CD for other computer's use or for future use. If you download the Network installation, you must download a 134mb file (10.5 hours over a standard phone modem) but you can burn this to CD and use it over or in other computers - it contains all the updates.
