Q:
When authorizing the Bomb Factory plug-ins in the Digi 001 Factory Bundle:
There is no "GSM" chip or "License Card" for the USB iLock SmartKey that comes with the Digi 001 Factory Bundle.
A:
The .pdf "How to Authorize" file in the Bomb Factory folder on the Digi 001 Factory Bundle CD is incorrect. There is a discrepancy with the iLock instructions that Bomb Factory provides vs. Digidesign's iLock instructions.
You do not need a "License Card" or "GSM" cutout to insert in the iLock for the Digi 001 Factory Bundle, as the iLock comes preauthorized. From 001 Factory Install Notes .pdf file on CD: "iLok USB SmartKey - The iLok USB SmartKey included in the 001 Factory is preauthorized for the plug-ins mentioned above. Before installing any of the plug-ins, plug the iLok USB Smart Key into any available USB port on your Macintosh. The iLok USB Smart Key will need to remain connected to the computer while using the plug-ins. You may remove the iLok USB Smart Key, but will need to reconnect it to use the plug-ins".
