Q:
What can I do if Toast does not see my CD recorder?
A:
This information applies to Toast Deluxe 4.X & Toast Titanium 5.X
on operating system(s) Mac OS 8.6 & Mac OS 9.X 1. Click on the Apple in the top left corner and scroll down to Control Panel.Scroll down the next menu and select Extensions Manager. 2. At the top of the window, Please change the selected set to OS (version) Base Set. 3. At the bottom of the window, please click on Duplicate Set and name it Toast. 4. Scroll down and disable (un-check) the following extensions: a. Firewire Authoring Support b. USB Authoring Support 5. Scroll down and enable (check) the following extensions: a. Toast CD Reader b. Toast USB Support(A,B,C) c. Toast Firewire Support 6. At the bottom of the window, go ahead and click Restart. 7. After the system is done booting, try Toast again. At the bottom of the Toast window, the drive should be listed. If not, please contact Tech Support for further troubleshooting.
