Q:
Spin Doctor hangs when trying to capture audio.
A:
This information applies to theToast Deluxe 4.x Suite - Spin Doctor, and Toast Titanium 5.x Suite - Spin Doctor, on Mac OS 8.6, Mac OS 9.X, Mac OS 10.X
We have seen issues with Spin Doctor and 3rd party sound cards including the Sound Blaster Live card. Although the Sound Blaster Live card is a good card, it can cause the system to lock-up when Spin Doctor tries to use it. An alternative to the Sound Blaster Live card is the Griffin iMic available from Griffin Technology. The card connect via USB and has a line in and a line out for recording from 3rd party sources. This device has been tested and works great.
