Q:
The software you are installing for this hardware: _________ has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatability with Windows XP. What do I do?

A:
The full error message reads:

"The software you are installing for this hardware: _________ has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatability with Windows XP.

Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabilize the correct operation of your system either immediately or in the future. Microsoft strongly recommends that you stop this installation now and contact the hardware vendor for software that has passed Windows Logo testing."

This simply means that the driver does not have Microsoft's seal of approval that it will work flawlessly under Windows. This is normal, and all hardware drivers not written by Microsoft have this error. Simply press CONTINUE ANYWAY and the driver installation will continue as normal. Again, this does not mean your computer will blow up if you continue; it is only a liability warning.
