Q:
How do I resolve a Digidesign Pro Tools for Windows XP Error: "DAE was unable to obtain a disk buffer of the requested size an additional XXXXk of memory is needed..-9006"

A:
This error will only occur on machines with 1 gigabyte or more of RAM installed.

We recommends disabling your virtual memory if you have higher than 512mb of RAM. Right-click on My Computer, go to Properties - Advanced - Settings in the Performance area - Advanced - Click Change in the Virtual Memory Area, and click No Paging File for each drive letter shown and press Set. You will need to reboot for the changes to take effect.

If this does not resolve the problem, try setting the paging file to 1024.
