What kind of RAM does hte Akai MPC2000 use?
A:
The MPC2000 uses standard 72 pin simm chips - SIMM4Q or SIMM16Q - 2 meg stock soldered on mother board. Has two simms slots . Simms can be installed in singles. Possible memory configurations are 2meg, 6 meg, 18 meg, 22meg, and 32 meg (when you install two16 meg simms you lose the 2 meg on the mother board).
