Q:
Cannot see audio files on a device (hard drive or CD ROM) on the Macintosh SCSI bus from within Pro Tools.
A:
If Pro Tools software is running on a Disk I/O, then files on the Mac SCSI bus cannot be used (files and folders within SCSI devices on the Mac bus are not even displayed). Two workarounds are:1) Copy the audio files from the Macintosh SCSI device to a Disk I/O drive.2) Switch the Playback Engine within Pro Tools to DAE PowerMix which will then allow files on the Mac SCSI bus to be recognized.Note: you must have a PowerPC Macintosh in order to switch to DAE Powermix.
