These errors can occur if there is no valid S/PDIF source. This means that even though a CD or DAT player is connected and switched on:- It might not produce a clock until audio is actually playing.- It might not have its digital output port enabled.- A S/PDIF protocol may be out of specification.- A clock crystal might be bad.Make sure that a valid S/PDIF clock is available before selecting S/PDIF from the Hardware window.The problem is correctable by deleting the DigiSetup file and then rebooting the computer. If the Audio Interface is still in digital sync mode with S/PDIF selected when PT is relaunched the problem will continue to occur (check the Audio Interface's LEDs). If the CD player is connected and still not producing valid clock, the problem will reoccur. You could also use Sound Designer II's Hardware Setup to set the Sync Mode back to Internal. This will write a new DigiSetup file.
