Q:
Crackling audio when a track is record enabled in Pro Tools.
A:
- TDM Cable not connected properly. The TDM cable should be oriented with the first node connected to the Disk I/O, and the Disk I/O should be in a lower alpha-numeric slot than the other TDM cards.- TDM Bus not terminated properly (NuBus systems). A TDM Terminator should be connected to the last node of the TDM cable. In larger systems, distribute the unused nodes evenly across the bus (for example, skip every other node).
