A:
MediaComposer allows you to use 'place holders' within a sequence to mark where an audio or video file was or will be placed. If these place holders are in a MC sequence that gets exported, OMF Tool will create a silence file for each of the missing files. These files should show up in PT as silent sound files in the correct location. The files that are missing from the MediaComposer sequence are called Off-Line Media.
