"Digidesign hardware is either not installed or in use by another application" when launching Pro Tools.

- Expansion Chassis not powered on or connected.- More than one DigiSystem INIT installed. Verify that only one DigiSystem INIT is installed, and that it is the correct version.- Drive not connected to Disk I/O, or drive is off. Verify that the Disk I/O drive is mounting.- Corrupted DigiSystem INIT.- Bad Peripheral cable (bent or broken pin, etc).- Disk I/O failure. Run DigiTest to check the cards.- Reseat all cards and TDM ribbon cable
