Q:
No audio playback on a PTIII-PCI system, even though there is meter activity on the Audio Interface.
A:
The system that this was reported on had a couple problems:1) The DSP Farm was in a lower alpha-numeric slot than the Disk I/O.2) The Audio Interface was connected to the DSP Farm.Audio will not play if the software is configured for an interface on the Disk I/O and is physically connected to a DSP Farm card. If a DAE error appears, it's possible that the interface is not connected or powered on, or that the cards are in the wrong order. Placing the cards in the correct order (Disk I/O in a lower slot than the DSP Farm) and connecting the interface to the Disk I/O should resolve the problem.
