"Audio Interface is not connected or turned on" error when launching Pro Tools or a 3rd party sequencer. A 3rd party sequencer may post a message about the TDM clock instead.
A:
If they are using their audio interface in slave mode from a sync box such as the DTP or an SSD, having a BNC cable that is too long can cause this. One user went from a 10 foot to a 5 foot cable and then it worked. Another could not make it work with a 20 foot cable and switched to the 1 foot that comes with the interface and the problem went away.
