-9073 Error in a 32 track system even though playback from either Disk I/O SCSI chain is fine. Sometimes the computer just freezes.
 
A:
This was nailed down to a bad internal drive which caused SCSI timeouts and possibly also PCI throughput problems. Swapping the boot drive solved this issue.System Configuration was: PPC 9600/200, Bit 3 7-slot chassis, 2xDisk I/O, 4xDSP Farm, Mac OS 8, Pro Tools 4.1 Software.
