Computer crashes with a Bus Error (Type 1) when DigiSystem INIT 3.2.2 is loading in a system with a Bit 3 13-slot Expansion Chassis.
A:
Check for SampleCell II PCI cards that do not have the "QC" revision of the AMCC chip. The crash was caused by a SampleCell II PCI card that had the older "Q" revision of the AMCC chip.SampleCell II PCI cards with Q version chips can be upgraded for a nominal fee.
