Q:
In a system with an ADAT Bridge, where should the 888|24 go?
A:
This depends on whether or not you intend to use the ADAT's internal crystal or the optical light pipe signal for clock. If you do not need, nor wish to use the the audio signal from an ADAT for clock, put the 888|24 I/O first in the chain, then the ADAT Bridge. If you wish to use the ADAT Bridge or your ADATs clock, then the 888|24 should be placed after the ADAT Bridge I/O.Note, the 888|24 I/O's clock component is low-jitter. If using the 888|24 I/O to track audio through the A/D ports, the 888|24 should be first in the chain for the highest sound quality.
