Q:
After configuring a session with the USD and then opening the session again without a USD connected, the error "Unable to communicate with USD" comes up. After Okaying the dialog, Pro Tools quits to the Finder.
A:
This is caused by having the "Use SerialDMA" option enabled in OMS Preferences.1) Launch OMS2) Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences3) Disable (uncheck) "Use SerialDMA"4) Quit OMS and reboot the CPUThe session should now launch successfully (it should post a dialog telling you that it was unable to establish communication with the USD).
