Q:
When using a USD, the Time Code counter slows down or stops, or there is crackling in the audio.
 
A:
Possible component failure in the USD. Contact digidesign tech support for troubleshooting.USDs #1111-1230 contained an Oscillator that was more prone to failure as the unit heated up. Digi is sending notification to any user that registers a USD in this range. First batch went out on 5/12/98.
