Q:
"Unable to create a DAE deck" when launching Pro Tools LE 5.0.
A:
This can happen if an older version of DAE and/or DSI is on the system prior to installing Pro Tools 5.0 LE.In one case, the user had installed Sound Edit 16 which installed an older version of DSI (2.9.6) and after installing PT 5.0 LE it was not moved to the obsolete Digidesign folder. Disabling the old DSI fixed this problem. Many applications that can use Digi hardware install a DSI in the system and should be the first thing checked when trouble shooting this error. Also, check hardware connections and card seating as possible other causes. In most cases, the DAE playback buffer setting will reset itself to (0) which could be an indication of a problem.

Track Transfer v2.1 ignores bit-depth and will transfer tracks between 24-bit and 16-bit sessions without a warning dialog. When launched, the resulting session will ask you to locate missing files which it cannot find due to the mismatch. How do I configure my JL Cooper DataSync and Digi 001 for ADAT sync on a Mac? "Sadly this Plug-In is only compatible with AMII and 24|Project systems" then PT quits when launching Pro Tools LE for Digi 001. DSPs appear maxed out when they shouldn't be (minimal Plug-Ins, tracks, etc.). I hear white noise from the Digi 001 headphone and monitor outs. |
