Q:
When opening a session last saved in Pro Tools multiple tracks in Pro Tools LE are the same color in the Edit window, and all tracks after the first with the same color will not playback.
A:
The tracks that are the same color were saved in Pro Tools (TDM) with the voices turned off. The work around would be to save the session again in Pro Tools (TDM) with all voices turned on. Or create new tracks and move the regions to the new tracks in PT LE. Or multiple tracks set to the same voice will cause this.Another possible cause could be trying to import open a 4.31 session in 5.0 LE. This is a problem because 5.0 LE doesn't understand the voicing assignments from 4.31 and earlier. Track transfer may work for transfering 4.31 tracks to 5.0, but we have had reports that voicing assignments were carried over even though tracks weren't the same color. If you run in to this problem try resetting the voice assignments in the original session to the lowest numbered voices possible. If track transfer does not work you can try manually importing the audio in to the new 5.0 session. Some bouncing may be required.
