-Disconnect the cable connected to the LTC IN port of the SSD (or make sure time code is not being fed to the unit).-Launch SSD Setup -Choose update from the Options pull-down menu-Power the SSD off and power on holding down one of the front panel buttons (I always use the mode button) and allow the 44.1 and Speed Calibration lights to start blinking-Click OK-If the firmware successfully updates, the Speed Calibration and Sample Rate LEDs should be solid and the Resolve light should blink slowly (should appear like you just powered the unit on).
