Pro Audio Support

Q:
Missing files, edits and sequences or sequences are not recalled as they were left last in AudioVision.AV file management.

A:
AudioVision has the uncanny ability to search not only every drive on the system for files, sequences and projects but it will also search through the trash and networked drives that are on the desktop. This can cause problems when there are projects or sequences that have the same name. There is no way of telling which sequence AudioVision is going to locate and therefore open first so the latest version may not be the one that opens. This can surface in the form of missing files, sequences and/or edits due to the fact that these items were possibly added to a later version of this same sequence/project but were not present in this sequence/project.It's like opening an older version of Pro Tools session, it won't contain any of the work that was most recently done. The workarounds for this are to be very careful with naming sequences and projects and to take advantage of stuffing or archiving applications such as Compact Pro or similar. Compact Pro is included with the AudioVision installer for this very reason and is placed in the Utilities folder on the internal drive. If you need to keep older copies of sequences and projects around you should compress them with Compact Pro so that AV can't find them and launch them inadvertently.
