After quitting Pro Tools, I can't open large applications or large numbers of applications unless I reboot first.
A:
Like any large application, Pro Tools under Mac OS 9.X (or lower) can leave the system RAM fragmented after use, and a reboot is necessary to take full advantage of installed RAM.
