Using Round Robin in the disk allocation dialog such that 24 tracks are divided between 2 partitions of the same drive, you cannot record more than 16 tracks at any buffer setting.

This is a known issue in Pro Tools 5.0.1Workaround: you can record 24 tracks if all the tracks are allocated to one partition or the other.
