Pro Audio Support

Q:
What are the recommended settings for Logic Audio 3.5 to 4.5 and the Digidesign 001 or Audio Media III for windows.

A:
Recommended Settings* In Logic Audio 3.5, go to File | Preferences. In Logic Audio 4.0, go to Audio | Audio Hardware & Devices* Select the Audio Extensions tab. * PC AV should be checked. * "Digidesign Digi-001: Chan 1-2" should be your Record and Playback Driver in Logic Audio 3.5 or your Driver in Logic Audio 4.0. * Do NOT choose DAE as your Audio Device. If you do not see "Digidesign Digi-001: Chan 1-2" in your list of drivers, you probably need to instruct Logic Audio to scan for the Digi-001 in your system. (Perhaps you installed or updated the Digi-001 driver after you had installed Logic.) * Please exit Logic Audio first. Launch the Logic Audio Device Setup app and wait while it configures Logic to work with the Digi-001. * You should see "MME Digidesign Digi-001: Chan 1-2" in your list of virtual devices. Make sure the driver is Enabled and that the "Full Duplex" option is checked. You may optionally check "Output Position Only". You should not need to check "Interpolate Position" but it probably won't hurt. * Press OK to save your settings and exit the Device Setup app. * Relaunch Logic Audio and select the Digi-001 as your driver as described above.
