How do I set up OMS to use Motor Mix if I AM NOT using a Mark of the Unicorn (MOTU) USB MIDI interface?
A:
1. OMS should be installed first, and the computer restarted.2. Install any driver software that was packaged with your MIDI interface, the restart your computer again.3. Launch OMS Setup, or choose OMS Studio Setup from the Setups menu in Pro Tools. Click OK when the first window appears. 4. In the next window, select the port(s) that your MIDI interface(s) are attached to. If you are using a USB equipped computer without a Modem or Printer port and/or if you are using the Digi 001 MIDI ports, leave these boxes unchecked.5. The next window should list your MIDI interface(s). Click OK.6. The next window shows MIDI devices that are connected to your MIDI interface(s). Make sure there is an X in the box next to the keyboard/question mark symbol which represents the port that you Motor Mix is attached to.6. Name your Studio Setup.7. Double-click the keyboard/question mark icon in the Session Setup window which is shown connected to the port that your Motor Mix is attached to. The Manufacturer should be set to CM Automation, and the Model should be designated as Motor Mix. You will see other options change when this assignment is made.8. In Pro Tools, make sure Motor Mix is selected as an input device under the MIDI menu > Input Devices.
