Q:
I am experiencing crackling on the analog output on the left channel of my Audiomedia III card.
A:
Check the Audiomedia III card. Remove it from the computer and locate the biggest black chip labelled AMCC. On this chip you will see the words, PCI Matchmaker. Below that will be a string of letters and numbers ending with either "Q", "QC", or "QE". If it ends with "Q" or "QC" you need to send in the card to be upgraded to end with "QE". If you have a "Q" or "QC" chip, you may contact technical support for upgrade information at (650) 842-6699.As a temporary fix you could go to the set ups menu to playback engine, click on other options and enable S/PDIF mirroring by putting a check in the box.
