This usually happens when you have the Use comments as region names option turned off. To fix it, turn the preference back on. Caution:Turning this preference on during the loading process can increase loading times substantially. See Supplemental comments for more information.Note: Users will change this preference without noticing any difference in the naming convention. This preference will not take affect until you create sources for the session again. This is true even if you change the preference and then close and reopen the Post Conform session. 1. Open the Post Conform session in question.2. It should open with all events listed in the EDL window and the sources for those events listed in the Source bin with funky names like 15A-01abYBx2kR4fr6h0. 3. Go to the Options menu and choose Preferences, hit the Conforming menu button and make sure the "Use Comments as Region Names" option is clicked on. Hit OK.4. Go to the EDL menu and choose "Select All Events". At this point, everything in the session is selected in both the EDL window and the source bin.5. Go to the Source Audio menu and choose Clear Selected. It will throw a dialog box that says "Are you sure you want to clear the selected sources? This command cannot be undone." Click yes.6. All of the sources should have disappeared from the source bin and the EDL window will show all of the events from the EDL in italicized font indicating that there are no sources created for those events.7. Go to the EDL menu and choose Create Sources.This preference directly effects how Post Conform names the sources in the source bin. With the preference on, Post Conform will use the comments field as names for the sources in the source bin. With the preference off, Post Conform will instead use its funky naming convention for the sources in the source bin.
