Attempting to create a Fade Out or Fade In where 2 regions are butted together instead creates a Crossfade between the 2 regions.

With 2 regions butted together, Pro Tools assumes a crossfade is desired.To create a Fade Out (on the first region) or a Fade In (on the second), use the Smart Tool.
