Automation 'Write' changes to 'Touch' as soon as playback is initiated under certain conditions.
A:
This happens in sessions containing MIDI tracks when there is a negative global MIDI offset of anything more than about 1000 samples. Begin playback on any track whose automation mode is set to 'Write', anywhere in the session other than the very beginning, and it will jump immediately to 'Touch'.
