Q:
Controlling Pro Tools via MIDI thru a Yamaha O2/R Mixer does not work properly. The fader's in the software can control the fader's on the O2/R but the reverse setup is not possible.
A:
This can be caused by a dysfunctional MIDI Out port. Check that the interface is working properly. Here are the general settings :1. On the O2/R Go to the MIDI menu and turn off "Local Control" (this makes the fader's to behave as MIDI fader's only )2. Select "Pro Tools" as the emulation protocol. 3. In PT go to setup, peripherals, MIDI controllers and select HUI, CS-10, MM-16 or DC-16. Note: The emulation protocols from the MIDI controllers might behave slightly different from each other, on the O2/R.
