Is it necessary that the video cables connected to the USD be of a particular impedance? Do they have to be 75 ohm?
 
A:
In order for the USD to properly receive signal from and/or sync to a video deck or black burst generator (house sync), the video cables must be 75 ohm.Also, if you are simply using Video Ref input, make sure that the 75 ohm terminator that came with the unit is connected to the other Video Ref BNC connector or ensure that another, terminated, video device is fed from the loop-through connector.
