Bouncing with RTAS Plug Ins can cause glitches and spikes with smaller h/w buffer sizes (such as 128, 256).
 
A:
A default h/w buffer of 1024 should alleviate this in the majority of the cases. This is CPU dependent so this problem may occur at higher buffer sizes on slower machines or with really large sessions.
