This is available because Pro Tools is sample accurate and AVID applications such as Media Composer and Symphony are frame accurate. It should always be checked when the destination of the OMF is an AVID or other frame accurate system. When checked, Digitranslator will add silent "pad" files to the head and/or tail of a region so that its head and tail fall on exact frame boundaries once imported into the destination AVID application.
