Q:
Sending a Pro Tools mix to an Avid Media Composer or Symphony on a Unity network.
A:
On the Pro Tools client, do a Bounce to Disk and select the OMFIMediaFiles folder of the Media Composer client as the file destination. On the Composer client, choose Refresh Media Directories from the File menu. the new clip will now be available in the Media Tool and can be dragged into a Bin for use in a sequence. In order for this to work the Pro Tools client must be in Avid Compatibility Mode. Also use a 1 Frame Grid Mode in Pro Tools to ensure that a frame accurate media file and clip are produced.
