Q:
Besides serial number, how else can I check whether or not my 888/24 is equipped with 24 bit DACs?
A:
The absolute best way is to check the ICs themselves. Here's how to check: 1) Remove the cover.2) With the faceplate toward you, locate the DACs. They are 4 small ICs on the main board near the upper right corner of the board.3) Check the ICs themselves: CS4390 are the currently shipping 24 bit DACs, CS4329 are the old ones.
