Q:
The Pro Tools spot dialog is not able to read the original time stamp of video files recorded at certain times when using AVoption or AVoptionXL. It also misfires when trying to use the original time stamp on files recorded after 12:00:00:00
A:
This is a known issue in AVoption and AVoption XL and Pro Tools 5.1.1Files recorded before 12:00:00:00 will have a readable stamp. For files recorded after 12:00:00:00 Pro Tools can read the original time stamp but says the time stamp is out of range after hitting ok on the spot dialog. Pro Tools then places the file at the beginning of the session, and selects the area of track where the file would have been spotted to had it moved to it's original time stamp. For files recorded after midnight (24:00:00:00) the Original Time stamp will say "out of range" in the spot dialog and can't be used at all.
