Q:
What are grouped clips in an Avid system? Can grouped clips be imported and played in Pro Tools?
A:
Grouped clips are clips containing one or more video clips stacked on top of each other. This is often used when several cameras were shooting a scene from different angles and all contain the same time code. They are grouped together onto one video track to create a comp. Only one clip can play at a time.Grouped clips can be imported and played by Pro Tools with AVOption or AVOption XL via Digitranslator. They can only be viewed as edited in the Avid system.
