Pro Audio Support

Q:
When I export a track as an OMF in Pro Tools 5.1.3 and check Avid Compatible the Avid reads the file but adds the "sample accurate edits". This is not a good thing for me as these frames seem meaningless (and they are unwanted audio).

A:
These will be created when you select "Avid Compatibility" and are required to accommodate the fact that the Avid system does not support sample accurate edits. You should not be seeing extra edits if you really have an edit on frame boundaries, but you may find when you zoom in all the way that your edit is actually off the grid line by one sample.
