Q:
Is it still required that when doing a digital transfer on Pro Tools|HD that you must change the sync mode to the device to which the digital transfer is coming from? (Clock master)
A:
The HD systems now enable any device to be the clock master. However the HD system allows you to leave your system at default (Pro Tools first interface as the clock master) and the incoming Digital information will automatically be re-synced to the default clock master. There is no need to change the sync mode unless you want to clock to an alternate source.
