Q:
What is a Smartcard?
A:
A smartcard is the means by which you authorize iLok for any number of plug-ins. It looks like a credit card with a small breakaway section that is broken out of the card and can be slid into the slot at the end of the USB plugged in iLok. This will install an authorization for the appropriate plug-in.NOTE:Smartcards for Pro Tools related plugins will only authorize the iLok that came with the Pro Tools|HD system. They will not authorize an iLok purchased separately.
