Session Counter and Big Counter do not reflect accurate SMPTE code. It either clocks the first frame it identifies and stops, gets ahead of or falls behind the clock in the Session Setup window.
A:
This can be caused by long Slave Clock cable length. Shortening the cable may resolve the issue. As a general guideline for proper reliability, Word Clock cables should be no longer than 1 meter; Super Clock cables should be no longer than half a meter. Cable runs longer than this can cause problems.
